Dish Network lost another 233,000 customers to its core satellite TV platform in the third quarter, estimated one analyst, who pegged the linear service’s rate of decline at 8.4% a year. The company’s revenue is shrinking by 4.3% annually, and EBITDA is declining at a yearly rate of 9.7%.
Still, Dish Chairman and CEO Charlie Ergen told analysts and reporters yesterday that the satellite TV operator doesn’t “get as much credit for our video business as we should.
“It’s not dead—it’s still a very, very profitable business,” he added.

Charlie is right about being profitable. I think he means with the overall decline everyone is having his company is in good shape considering...

Well at this rate of sub losses, DISH will soon be under 13 million sometime next year. He can continue to make Money , just less of it each quarter as DISH continues to decline.

Any word about the effects of the hurricanes Irma and Maria on their subscriber base?

They said in the original report that they had 145,000 disconnects over Maria in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Sears is expected to file Chapter 11 before years end
I think they should file general bankruptcy and sell off what is left of the company , fixtures, lights etc. This store will never make a comeback ,even if they just did a restructuring of their debt. They are stuck in the 20th century with no bridge to the 21st. Time to admit it and cut their losses and go bye bye.

They may be forced into Chapter 7. Not everyone comes out of 11 as a going concern.
