My 722 was finally updated to firmware version 6.18 overnight. I ran the HDMI test, and the 722 is finally recognizing that my TV can do 1080p/24, which it never did before.
Now, I'm downloading The Beast, and getting 4.6 Mbps, which is a huge improvement over 0.8 Mbps which is the most I could ever get before (the 722 is hard-wired to my router, and my connection speed is usually between 8-10 Mbps). I don't know if Dish changed something on their server end, or if this was firmware related, but the show will be downloaded in just a couple of hours instead of 26-28 hours previously.
Progress!
