If I sign up for the Dish Flex pack, is it still $29.99 after auto pay discount or is it now $34.99 for new customers? Also, do new customers signing up for Flex get the $5 DVR discount? I asked Dish sales and was told they can't tell me any pricing until I give up my social security number!?!?!?!
 
So, give them your SS number. They can't charge any thing against it and will not steal your benefits. At least they did not want a credit card number yet.

Some people don't want to take a hit on their credit report if they end up not getting Dish service (or get denied)
