Blue Sky Satellite was scheduled to install a wing dish for me today. They called and said that would no longer be necessary because the HD locals for Des Moines would be available off of the 129 satellite starting tomorrow 05-20-09. "John"

This would be nice, if true. I've been holding off on a wing dish while waiting for the whole Turbo thing to shake out and make some other programming decisions, only wanting to have one service call. Now I might not need a call at all.

The Des Moines DMA HD will now be on Eastern and Western arcs. How does it work for a new subscriber with no dish installed? Who decides which arc is installed, assuming line of sight to both arcs? Can the user request which one he wants or does DISH force new users to one or the other arc?

The Des Moines HD locals off of 129 look good. Glad I can forget the wing dish. Now if Dish would just get their Turbo issues solved to my satisfaction I could save some money.
