HD locals on DISH

What do you mean by smaller DMAs? Reno, NV is DMA #110 and they are receiving all big four HD locals from DirecTV.

"Smaller" is probably not an adequate adjective. It boils down to $$ in their pocket, which is not necessary related to the physical size of the DMA. It may not even be the number of potential subs available within a DMA. It's the potential amount of profit $$ they will "net" in the end.

True. Don't confuse HD with digital. There is NO requirement for analog stations to switch to HD in 2009, only digital.

I think its time to switch.

I thought we were supposed to have HD Locals in Hartford by now. D* has 3 local HD channels, but my Charter cable has everything but ABC, including PBS. If Dish would get these, I would be able to dump charter.
