Can you use a Directv HD Receiver with the a non-HDdISH? If so, how do you hook it up to get a signal? Does the dish need repositioned? The TV is a 32inch Vizio- older model.

Sure you can use and hd receiver on a non hd dish. Just connect the cable from the dish to the box. You won't get hd channels though. You should replace the older dish with a Slimline though.
