HELP with Where to Search / Post please.

I want HD DVR for OTA. Speedvision is the only thing I'd want from DirectTV; so help me if that is possible in So.Cal from them.

I bought a Direct TV labeled HD DVR at Costco for OTA HD. I opened the box to find TIVO on the faceplate. Must I have a TIVO subscription to use the DVR for OTA and from HD sony F1X?

What forum should I search for answers to the above? Where is the proper place(s) to post this? Please advise, and move this to where it belongs; just tell me where it goes. thanks

TiVo was the provider for DirecTV HD DVR's. DirecTV is supposed to be coming out with their own version, but the TiVo is a GREAT DVR.
