I'm not the brightest star in the sky so please help me out here.

By now we've all been briefed on the new incentive structure beginning on 1 February. Here's what I can't figure out.

Take a 4 room sale and install with 1 DVR and at least one HDTV.
Right now I'd put in a 722/222 system and get all the incentives they currently pay.

Starting 1 Feb. if I put in the 222 i would get the one additional receiver incentive. Why not put in two 211's. I would get paid for two additional receivers instead one one. It wouldn't cost the customer any more. $7 solo $14 duo.

What am I missing here?

Dish will do something about it eventually when they find out that it is costing them money.

They will probably force retailers with a new rule to install the dual tuners or no payment. Follow the rules, get paid, dont follow the rules, dont get paid. That is what Charlie has said.

I guess you could always tell Dish that they had all HD receivers in their home.

So I do have it right. Unless they change the options when creating an account you know what I'll do.
