hopper with slingbox, can't watch DVR shows?

I'm new to the whole slingbox thing, so forgive me if it's a dumb question there really wasn't any literature to explain the whole thing, just a box with a red device in it.

When I watch shows from my slingbox either on my home network or via the internet via watch.slingbox.com I can't access the DVR.. same goes for the dish android app. I thought I read it was possible to manage recordings and watch recorded shows, am I just too dumb to figure it out?

On the slingbox firefox app I can bring up the dish remote, but the DVR button is greyed out. On the android app I just can't figure any way to try.

At your Hopper hit the blue button on your remote and select broadband. Verify you have "OK" listed in green.

It connects to the internet fine, verified through the sling website, I can watch live tv from my box...

weird, that works. but I figured I could do it from the app too, guess not.
