I'm getting ready to run low voltage lines throughout the house I'm building. I don't currently subscribe to Sat Radio, but figured I would run what I need for an outdoor antenna if I ever get it. (I had heard that its best with an outdoor, correct me if I'm wrong).

What type of cable would I need, or is there a specific cable you must use, and does it differ between XM or Sirius? Thanks.

You have to use a satellite radio extension cable.

You can use either but they are optimized for the specific service (XM or Sirius).

If you have a south facing window, you can use the antenna inside. Mine is sitting on top of my AV case.

This is a great site to browse for XM stuff.

You might also consider running conduit down the wall to empty boxes to allow changes in the future. 3/4" EMT can hold a lot of future connections.
