Wow thats nuts. Is it surprising that its been 3 days now and we have heard no new groundbreaking news on the DNS case? Does the lack of a immediate response spell a good outcome for E* or should I sell my 622 and call up D*? Saw today they have the incar nascar package for 2007 I am not affected by the DNS ruling either way but as Scott showed that is a ton of money for lawayers. I think the rates we pay each month are already high. I don't want to see it go up due to this case.

Not true...there are plenty of rocks in New Mexico, just pick one up and underneath you'll find a lawyer.

Just remember that a single lawyer in a small town will not make a living, but two lawyers in a small town will both be rich men.

As it's a Federal case, each lawyer who could potentially work on the matter needs to be on the court's record. If you'd look up the data for each separate lawyer working for a specific party, you'd most likely find that they're all in the same law firm. So ... though it looks like a million lawyers, it's really just a list of the lawyers within each respective firm who may touch the file at some point in the history of the case.

Lawyers get paid way too much considering they are wrong half the time. 50% track record is grounds for firing for incompetance in most professions.

Actually, that is a common misperception. The context of that quote from Shakespeare's Henry VI, Part 2 was that IF YOU WANT TO OVERTHROW ORDERLY SOCIETY - first kill all the lawyers.

The anarchists did not want any learned and informed opposition to the rebellion they had planned againstthe government. This makes sense. If you are tempted to create anarchy through rebellion, the first objectives will beto get rid of legal process, individual rights, and the truth. Thus, the famous quote from Shakespeare's character Dick the Butler.

You know, that's kinda like the Ergen cheerleaders here who keep their head in the sand about what was actually done to break the law and profit on rebroadcasting property that didn't belong to them. Kill the informed opposition and the truth.
