Out here somewhere
As I move yet closer to the possibility of replacing my 722K with a HWS, I have occasionally read here that folks believe that the HWS puts out a better PQ than the 722? Obviously this is an subjective thing and all eyes are different. Also thrown into the mix is the "good" and the "bad" PQ channels that have always existed with Dish. Currently I am feeding my 722K to a Sony 4K TV that has excellent upconversion capabilities with their X-reality pro engine..
For those of you that have had both of these receivers would you say that the HWS is better overall?
Appreciate any input,
Thanks, Gerry

I moved from two ViP722s to a couple of HWS and an owned Joey.

Yes, I think the newer chipset made a slight difference. Not outstanding, but a bit of improvement.

Let us discuss this further. Grape, cherry or orange?

PS- Be suspicious of anything a Physicist might say......

Honestly, I couldn't tell a difference at all, however, I would not want to go back to my 722. The GUI and the features are far superior, plus just being whole home HD, and I can semi integrate 2 hoppers for 6 tuners plus my OTA... It's a win across the board. Navy... I'll have orange please.

Virtual Joey question.
