[Viewsat] Is it worth to upgrade from a Viewsat VS PRO?

I currently have my viewsat fixed on galaxy 19 but I’m thinking of upgrading. I’m planning to get a motor hooked up on my ku band dish and would this be a good receiver for that? Also, what am I missing out of with my receiver? What would be a good receiver to upgrade to? My budgets $200 or less. Thanks.

Also, are there any satellite updates available? I’ve looked all over and haven’t found any.
 
Hi Alex try out an Amiko Mini HD from k4est he is a good guy. What part of Michigan are you from?
 
Your Viewsat is still useful for G19 Ku since a lot (most?) of the signals on there are DVB-S.

A newer receiver like the Amiko Mini HD from KE4EST would receive the DVB-S2 signals.

You can look at the Lyngsat and sathint sites and see what is up there that is DVB-S2 and fta, that will give you an idea of what you are missing, you definitely want to upgrade your receiver if you are going to motorize.

Not sure what your are asking about re: "any satellite updates available?".

If you mean like an updated satellite list for the Viewsat I would say probably not, and it wouldn't help you much anyway, since it is DVB-S only.

No it does not, it has HDMI and composite.
