I am at the sears website right now and wondering if all the info is correct about the 811.. I will cut and paste the info::

Integrated off-air atsc Tuner records off-air digital broadcasts
Optical digital output for Dolby® Digital and pcm digital audio
Interactive applications include News & Weather, Games & Entertainment and Customer Support
epic lets you easily access up to 2 days of TV listings/information via remote control
Satellite antenna input, RCA-type A/V outputs, S-video output
RF modulated output (channel 3/4), TV antenna/cable input, telephone jack
Component Video (Y Pr Pb), S-Video output(s), and RCA A/V input/output(s)
DISH™ Wire: (IEEE 1394)
IR 4-component universal remote control can be programmed to operate up to 4 components

I am interested in the firewire.. I have an 811 from dish and i was led to believe this is not an option on mine why is this?? Sorry for long dumb question.. I am a newbie just coming over from D*.. THX for any help..

The 811 does NOT record anything. Its just a TUNER

No Firewire

No Interactive News, or Games.

If you call 5 or 6 favorite city weather info screens interactive, then yes, it has interactive weather.

2 day program listing is more like 2 hour.

Output: Also has DVI-D connector

Input: Has 2 RCA Inputs for DVD or VCR.

Other than that, Sears has no clue what they are selling.

Thank you For the reply.. I knew it was not a recorder like the 921 but with the firewire or (Dishwire) i should be able to buy an D-VHS and record that way.. I figured sear has miss information just wanted to confirm this..
