Good afternoon!

I’m curious on the difference between the 3D2RBLNBR0-01 and the 3D2RBLNBR0-02 LNBs.

Im assuming just a newer model but does anyone know?

More than likely your thought is correct ...
It's either a newer model or a different manufacture, but I'm leaning towards the newer model.

Thanks! It looks different but works fine. Just was curious.

There's a -14 for LNBs but I don't know if it is Andrew or Calamp. Neither have made LNBs for years so it is irrelevant except for old KaKu LNBs.

I don't even know their mfr cods any more but CalAmp did make dishes, LNBs and mounts early on. Andrew had a very capable team designing one of the first KaKu systems but could never get some mechanical specs to pass and therefore were never turned on to supply dishes and mounts.

I wish I could go into detail about the Andrew dish and mount but those pesky non disclosure agreements get in the way. I can say if they had met specs and were turned on to produce dishes and mounts the alignment procedure we have today would be radically different. They had a brilliant consultant on the team with some very impressive analysis programs and ideas but whoever was responsible for understanding and fixing some mechanical problems never came through.

I wish there was a forum here for ex DirecTV employee stories, I got a boat load of um.

From the last report I got on it. The "-14" LNB mfr. code was for a company called "MTI."

For "Microelectronics Technology Inc." in Taiwan I think ...

There was always a lot of consolidation that industry so maybe MTI was later purchased by Andrew or Calamp, or the other way around?
