lnbf trouble?

hello,
I have complete signal loss with the error code 11-12-11. The set up is a dish 1000 connected to a vip 211k and a solo 311. neither receivers are getting signal and all sattellites are showing red x on the signal test. I am thinking that it has to be a bad lnbf. can anyone verify this or offer me any help?

It could very well be a bad LNB. Could also be a bad ground block. Make sure to check all your connections.

Do a System Info test and see what is reported in box a.

If you have a dish 1000/1000.2/1000.4 you have 3 LNBs so a failure of 3 at once is doubtful, look for a bad switch or another cabling problem.

That signal code deciphers to: a response was received from the LNB. The LNB is indicating lost lock on the satellites. No weather event, not reset before the signal code. Device check and DiSEqC match the matrix.

if neither rec is getting any signal, the problem is at the dish
it's alignment or lnb

Go to Point Dish screen (menu, 6, 1, 1). Go to Check Switch, then Test. If test goes to 1 of 4, the receiver sees the dish but has signal issues (may be alignment). If it stays at 1 of 1 for two minutes or goes to 1 of 38, the receiver does not recognize the LNB. Then it could be the LNB or a common problem somewhere else in the lines. Do that test first though.
