Man Ships Himself in Crate to Visit Parents

For a while, it was just a crazy stunt. Now, it's a crime. Charles McKinley, the homesick man who shipped himself to Texas from the Bronx in a crate, was charged yesterday with being a stowaway on a plane.

I heard on talk radio that it would not be much cheaper going somewhere this way than taking the plane and why would he do something such as this instead of buying a plane ticket? Maybe its due to the fact that he is wanted for crimes in the past and if he took the plane he would be caught. He could have went on a part of the plane in which has a vacume in which would have killed him.
