Manhattan on WGN America

I think these last episodes are becoming very slow, and had more sex than science and history. Some scenes look more like an old soap opera.
I think the idea for a show about this piece of history was good, but I think WGN lost its way when developing the screenplay.

I guess they think sex sells more than actual history. Kind like the other show WGN has about the witches. That show was like soft porn on Skinemax.

I think this show started looking good, only to show its true colors later. Last episode, the lesbian scene, those two physicists getting drunk, Frank had the affair with the maid. For a soap opera it may be kinda good, for soft porn still on the light side. For a show about the history of the A- Bomb, look somewhere else.

I agree. It started out to be more of a history show but has turned into a soap opera. It needs to get back to the main plot to keep me.

I thought this episode was a little better. It was good to see Charlie get motivated but I thought they overplayed the Brits' stories. Maybe they'll now get down to action and make a few bombs.

Anyones remembers or still watches this show ?
I gave up on it, with about 4 episodes to go.
I just found out WGN it´s renewing it for a second season, which baffles me because it wasn´t that good IMO and had very low ratings.
I won´t post a link here to the news article, but I couldn´t create a thread on the news section.

I'm still watching it. Not sure why. Recorded a real show about the Manhattan Project -- "Fat Man and Little Boy"

I watched 3 episodes in one sitting while I was also surfing the net, but I think the show became more about Charlie´s wife having the lesbian affair with Frenchie, and that crap than about the real project at hand.
Maybe I´ll watch the last episode, but they can keep their second season for themselves.
