Model 1000

I had to pull this out of the closet. Haven't used it for 4 or so years. Does anyone know if this will work with a DP34 switch? I hooked it up - choose a Dish 500.

But it won't see 110 or the switch.

Any ideas?

Isn't there a legacy port on the DP34?

Because it's NOT DishPro compatable - you need a DP adaptor for this receiver to work with ANY DP LNB's or switches.
BTW, unless you can get one for free, or a cheap used one, the DP adaptor will cost you MORE money than what the 1000 is worth - you'd be better off putting that money toward a 301/311...

True & it would also work with the DPP twin LNB.

BUT again, since he doesn't have either of these switches & only has a DP34, he'd still be better off just getting a new/used DP receiver.

About $50 plus shipping should get a DP receiver from DISH.
