It locks and sits there. The only fix (besides bitching at Dish) is a reboot, run check switch and wait. Dish did send a tech, and they are going to replace the receiver. The tech didn't have a high opinion of the 622. He had lots of bad receivers! My reciever is over a year old. And I've used the heck out of it. At lest the HDMI output stills works.
