Tech from Installs, inc said that my diplexer looked like it had been shorted out or burned up. He said it was actually black.

My signal disappeared one afternoon while neighbor kid was raking my leaves. I thought my Receiver had failed. Tech replaced the receiver, switched positions on ground block and finally replaced the diplexer on my suggestion. Signal shot up to 96 as before.

Could he (my neighbor) have somehow shorted the grounding block and caused this failure? Neither the kid or any of my other electronics was damaged.

Voom uses cheap diplexers, it's recommended to not use them. Go to Rat Shack and buy a pair, they should work better.

Actually go to Home Depot its cheaper and its the same diplexor. I believe it a RCA brand.
