I have a motorola 6412. I'm new to cable, I just got rid of my dish 921. Can I somehow setup a timer recording rather than a show based one? Heres why, I record the howard stern show. The box records the 11:00 & 11:30et shows and the 2am & 2:30 shows which are the same episodes. I've tried "first run only" with no luck. At he end of the week, I have to weed through all the shows.
Another reason is because of WWE Raw at 9pm Monday nights. The show runs 2 hours and 10 minutes. On the guide its broken down into 2 different shows but with the same title. Its listed as being on from 9-10 and then from 10-11:05. The show always goes past 11:05. If I set a "series record", It'll record both shows but stop recording at 11:05. If I extend the end record time, it'll do it to both the 9-10 and 11:05, timing up both timers. I could set up a series record for the 11:05 show, but that show changes on a regular basics. Now its the Lance Kroll show.....which won't last long.
