Need Help!

Hi,

All of a sudden today, both my receivers lost the signal to the satellites. I have a Dish 500 plus system with 110, 118, 119 and 129. I replaced the DPP44 switch as well the power supply for the switch and still no luck. When I do a check switch, it detects the switch fine both only finds the 110 satellite. Does anyone know what else I nned to do? Replace the LNB?

most likely a bad LNBF.

Oh and with those 4 satellites that isn't a DISH 500+ it is a 1000+, the only difference is the number of satellites(LNBs).

It might be misaligned. I have a dish 1000 plus with an unstable base. I installed it on a plastic table from Walmart with only the original dish 500 install kit (with vhs tape, which is now propping up one of the legs of said table!) It needs adjustment about every 8-12 months. This dish is real touchy.

What kind of signal strength does it show on 110? It is usually the strongest of the 4 on that dish and the last one to drop off.

The 1000+ actually has 3 lnbs on. I doubt if the 129 and the 118.7/119 went bad at the same time.

It is probably out of alignment or possibly a bad connector.

What rec setup do you have?
