Came inside to watch the local news off the dvr (625) but it wasn't there. Checked the timers listing and it's still there for daily recording. Also all listings for locals (Greenville, SC) show no info available. Anyone else having this problem?

Is it possible that your phone line has been disconnected from your 625? I'm pretty sure that the programing info comes through the phone line every day when the system updates itself.
I recently added local over the air antenna locals to my system and went into preferences and set the update for a couple of minutes from then. Waited a while and pewang,.. the slots which said no info available were filled with programing information.

I set the default update back to 3am.

See if this works.

The guide comes off satellite 110. If you do not have 110 coming in clearly you can lose the 9 day guide. It comes continuously. You can usually force an update by doing a switch check (which will flag if 110 is not working) and putting the receiver into standby. After a bit the guide will download.

Problem exists only with the locals. Guide shows the current program being broadcast but all else out all 9 days is info unavailable. All other subscription channels (250) are displayed.

Apparently this started earlier today and that's probably why the dvr didn't pick up the news. When we decide to quit watching all the talking heads try to guess what's going on in politics tonight I'll do a cold boot and see if that helps.

So when you force an update, it updates through the satalite?
Perhaps it was a coincidence that when I added OTA locals to my system the programming slots were empty until I forced an update.

This is possible, you could wait a while for the download to occur and several models do not download while the receiver is in use. Forcing the download will also get newly available programing (not just locals) to appear. When I see that new channels are active but I do not see them yet, I force the download to see if they appear. Also, new channels usually only have current and very next program info in the guide but nothing after that until the next download occurrs, forcing the download give complete info throughout the rest of the available guide info.
