NOTICE: 922 Hard Drive Format Coming

A notice to all ViP922 Testers...

With the next release of 922 beta software, the receiver’s hard drive will be reformatted—all events recorded on your hard drive will be erased.

Because the planned external hard drive functionality for archiving DVR events is currently unavailable, archiving your DVR events is not an option at this time.

Please note that hard drive reformats are always likely during beta testing. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your continued feedback on the ViP 922.

I remember the T2200S is supposed to have an option eSATA port, but did eSATA ever make it to the ViP911 for external storage?

I would be PISSED if I was a 922 beta tester. But alas I am not, so this doesn't matter to me

I don't have a 922 but I've been around the block many, many times concerning Alpha and Beta software. I would never have or do anything important on a machine that is running beta software. Been beta-testing Windows 7 for a year on a couple of spare PCs and tossing in my 2 cents every now and then -- Microsoft ACTUALLY listened this time, so they got my $$$ when they had the 2-week pre-order. I can finally upgrade all my PCs running XP. LOL
