started getting a parshall signal loss no my 211K With no thunder clouds in the area not overcast at all. I can change channels and it comes back on is this the receiver going out.

Tune to an OTA channel that you know has a strong/steady signal, and then tune back to a SAT channel. See if that clears it up.

I doubt it's ota. I had the same problem and everyone was saying it was ota. It wasn't. It was a bad lnb. Do a System info test and see what box a says. Mine showed lnb drift. lnb assembly was replaced and no problems since

Well, it doesn't hurt to try out the OTA check. I had the same problem and it turned out to be a weak OTA station that my receiver had previously been tuned to. So based on anecdotal evidence (yours and mine only), it's at least a 50/50 chance it could be OTA. :)

I've definitely seen the OTA bug on my 722k. A MENU - 6 - 1 - 3 test wouldn't hurt, though.

System test certainly can be done. My experience has been everytime it happened to me it was a weak OTA that I had been tuned to last. Another way to stop it on my 612 is to go to several sat channels so no tuner is looking for an OTA.

A friend is on "pay as you go" and wants new "FYI" network...
