Past Dish offers for customers w/bad credit

Hi -

Wondering if anyone knows what Dish used to offer for customers who didn't pass their credit check. I know the current offer is $99 fee and 2 year contract. Has it always been this way? Does the current offer seem fair?

I believe years ago they simply wouldn't offer you service if you didn't pass their credit check. Then I think they switched to a deposit system but I don't think that was around for a long time. Whether this is fair or not is really up to the individual. Dish has determined some folks are poor credit risks and now has this setup.
