As an RV'er I just made my first move with a dish network system (VIP 722, gold package with HD).I have a two dish system (110 and 119 on one dish and 61.5 on another). After finding the satellites on the two lnb dish, I found I was receiving satellites 119 and 129. I am only in this area for a couple of days so I left it like that, but here is my question, do I have a pointing problem or is it a skew problem? How would I get 110 and 119 instead of 119 and 129?

You actually have an elevation problem. You are a touch too far west (right) but you got that result due to low elevation.

The 500 dish will pick up either set of sats because they are basically equidistant. (Roughly 10 degrees between 110 and 119 and the same between 119 and 129. The difference is elevation.

With a Dish 500, always add 2 degrees to what the Dish elevation charts say to get the correct elevation. (Assuming that you are correctly using the elevation adjustment on the dish.)

So, add 2 degrees elevation and move the dish slightly to the left.

What Does the Dish See?

The arrangement of the satellites superimposed on my avatar is the same whether you see a 1000+ dish or imagine your Dish 500.
