Question about 811 and vhf hdtv feed.

I can pick up all of my local hdtv feeds through uhf, except the abc feed. Called today and was told that their feed was transmited on vhf. My question is will the 811 recieve a vhf hdtv signal. I've got a silverstar antena but I'll need to get a vhf one if its possible to recieve the abc feed. I thought all hdtv was transmited on uhf, whats up with my local abc????

I don't see why not since when it scans for channels it starts with channel 2 instead of 14.
