Receiver In House Swap Question

I have two receivers in my house: a VIP 622 and an older 311 standard. Right now the 622 is attached to my main TV on receiver 1 and an upstairs TV on receiver 2. The 311 is standalone on a TV in my office. What I would like to do is have the office tv be receiver 2 on the 622 and the move the 311 to the upstairs TV.

This may be a complete stupid question but do I need to swap cables in the wall or just move the receiver and call Dish to reprogram?

Two of your coax runs must be redirected. The line from the dish to the 311 needs to go to the upstairs and the coax from the 622 to the upstairs need to go to your office. No need to call Dish, unless you want to pay someone else to do the work.
