Did some renovations in one of the rooms so unplugged my
2700 and TV for almost two weeks. Now all channels are red. I think BEV downloads periodically so do I just leave it plugged and turned off and the next download BEV does should reload the card? My other reciever is working ok
but I never had to unplug it though.

I've never had it happen but some say if you unplug your STB for a period of time, you must call BEV or have your broker do it - and have them hit your card again for authorization.

It appears on some units it turns the authorization off after several days of no signal.

Thats a new part of Nagravision 2.. IIRC if the card is out of the stream for 10 days, then it automatically deauthorizes itself.

it will require a rehit.

Another reason I am glad to have *C!

A rehit is unnessesary for either Dish or Bev.
Hook up the reciever and then leave it turned off (standby) overnight, and the programming will be reactivated.
Unless you need it done that minute, there is no need to call for a re-hit.
