I have a 301 receiver, and I just got a phillips DVDR600VR DVD recorder to replace the VCR that was attached to the 301. I have an unpredictable schedule, but I have shows that I like to watch, so I have been using the program guide to set VCR timers. I like how easy this feature works, and it has always started and stopped my VCR recording flawlessly. I want to use the same feature with my DVD recorder. Can I? The DVDR600 is a combo DVDR/VCR. I have gotten the 301 to start the recording on a tape, but I can not get it to record to a DVD automatically. I can set a timer on the DVDR and set an autotune timer on the 301, but this is much more difficult and time consuming than just setting a VCR timer on the 301. Can anyone help? What code do I use in the VCR setup screen of the 301?
