My VIP 722 failed a couple of weeks ago and the replacement failed within a week. They are sending me another but I an thinking of changing to 2 stand alone receivers instead of the duo. I have a VIP 622 and the VIP 722. What cabling changes would I have to make to swap a duo for 2 singles? "John"

Each receiver requires a cable from the satellite switch (or the external switch). I assume you only have one cable currently running to each duo and are using separators for supplying each of the duo's tuners, so you will need to add an additional third cable from the satellite.

Describe failed.

I had a customer whose 622 kept failing after 3 weeks. Didn't think much about it after the second one failed, 622's had a horrible fail rate. After the third failed, however, I looked further and found a bad coax cable from the dish. Have not had another problem in two years.
