Quick question…. If a given setup could potentially see the same channel on 2 different sats, how does the receiver decide which one to use ?
Example specific to me: I do not currently receive Chicago locals. Some Chicago locals are on 2 different spot beams, one on 110 and one on 61.5. I am pointing at both of those sats, and can see both spot beams, although I am on the fringe of the relevant 110 spot and get stronger signal from 61.5.
If my receiver moved to Chicago…. If only one spot beam was receivable then I assume that’s what would be used. But if both are…. I am just curious how the receiver (722) would decide which one.
Obviously I could just pull the trigger and see what happens, but I was curious as to the mechanics of what the equipment does when faced with this.
