Signal strength on 110/119 question

Did anyone ever compare/post signal strength readings of the 2 core slots (110 and 119) using a Dish 500 and a Dish 1000? Not worried about 129 at this point, just curious what happens on the core slots.

I tried that very thing today.

I changed out the dish pan on the dish 500 with the pan dish for the 1000 . I left the mast and lnbs the same and simply changed out the dish pan. I did this because I couldn't simply put the lnb holder from the dish 500 onto the dish 1000 mast. The holes don't match as the dish 1000 has two and the dish 500 has only one in the center.

I saw no real difference in signal strengths on 119 . They stayed in the 100s . With the 110 sat I saw about the same, maybe a little less strength. IN the mid 90s to low 100s on some transponders. But with the 110 sat there isn't much left that isn't on spotbeams. My spotbeam strength was the same as before when I had the dish 500 alone. But before when I had used the dish 1000 for the three satellites 110/119/129 I had to sacrifice signal strength on the 110 to get all three. I now use the dish 1000 for 110/119 and the second dish 500 for the 61.5 sat.

IN the end I don't think it made any difference to change out the dish pans at all.

Ok, thats great info. When I installed my dish 1000, I couldnt get 129, so I just put the 500 back up, but that was in the winter, so now that its warm out, I plan on putting the 1000 back up for 110/119 and use the 500 for my 61.5 dish. Maybe a neighbors tree will fall and 129 will open up too, but I still prefer 61.5.
