Campaign Features a Chance to Win $1,000,000 Plus Exclusive Sweepstakes and Visa(R) Gift Card Offer

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., April 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Starz Encore Group LLC (Starz), the largest provider of premium movie services in the United States, and EchoStar Communications Corporation and its DISH Network (Nasdaq: DISH - News), a leading direct broadcast satellite television provider, today announced an unprecedented multi-faceted joint marketing initiative. The initiative consists of two campaigns, which run consecutively from April 22 to June 30, both featuring significant tactical marketing elements. The campaigns will highlight the exclusive television premieres of the Walt Disney Pictures Presentation of a Pixar Animation Studios Film "Finding Nemo" on STARZ! May 22 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT), as well as Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" on STARZ! June 12 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT).

"We are thrilled that DISH Network embraced the large scale acquisition efforts behind this campaign," said Robert B. Clasen, president of sales and marketing for Starz. "This is an enormous, multi-tactical program that is one of many new ways Starz is responding to the needs of our affiliate partners and anticipating the opportunities we have with them."

It's a pity Dish doesn't think an HD channel from "the largest provider of premium movie services in the United States" is worth the bandwidth.

ugh - trust me - it's REALLY NOT!!!

They have less of an HD % than ESPN-HD!

And... they're silly enough to show a move in HD once, and then repeat it days later...in SD!
