Yep, I binged it big time! A bit of a slower burn at first but it pays off in the end. Every bit as good as the first, if not better from character evolvement. Five Stars.

Watched the first episode last night I agree it was a little slow. Going to try to watch a episode every night. I don’t want to run through the whole season in a night. Than wait another year for the next season.

I wish I had your self control.

Watched the first 2 episodes (SHMBO is limiting us to 2 episodes every Friday). The first episode had a scene from my teenage life (or was it dream), a guy named Bob (mine is Bobby) making out with Winona Ryder in the back of Jackson Drug (the store used for Melvald's).

Either way, the scene was stolen from my diary and I demand compensation!!!

Had some time to kill today, so the kids and I went to the town square and took some location shots.

Was actually surprised to see 3 other groups of people walking around.
The guys at Radio Shack let my boys get behind the repair counter so they could be Bob, and Jackson Drug had the register setup where Winona Ryder bought her lights. Radio Shack is taking advantage of the show and had lots of Stranger Things memorabilia up.

Talked with the owner of Rental Solutions (high school buddy of mine) and he said they get several groups of people a day come by to take pictures and site see.

*note* the posterboard of Shaq at Radio Shack, is because he's currently running to be Sherriff in neighboring Henry County.

Things got a little Stranger over the weekend on Second Street. Took these on my way into work this morning.

Looks like they're getting ready to start shooting Season 3.

Location filming starts today. The police had the city square blocked off, and one of the local church's parking lot was filled with filming crew trucks.

Too bad for them that it's in the 40's this morning. Day before May and we're still getting 40's in Georgia, danged ground hog...

Doesn't look like they'll be filming in the square today, when I drove through, nothing was blocked. But they did have a security guard standing there looking bored on 2nd Street. Plus 1st Baptist's lot was empty, so I'm guessing they're at another location today.

Not sure if this is a spoiler or not, but I'm guessing the timeline of season 3 will be around the 4th of July. This is because they had flags up on the storefronts lining 2nd Street (where they are doing the filming), and also on the rear entrance of the Butts County Court House (aka, front entrance of the Hawkin's Library).

Here's some set photos from yesterday in front of Jackson Drug (aka, Melvald's General Store).|
Winona Ryder's looking as good as ever.

I watched season one early last year when I did a free trial of Netflix for Fuller House. I completely forgot about season two until earlier this year when I became fascinated with The Philadelphia Experiment and Montauk Project. After finding out Stranger Things working title was Montauk and it was loosely based on the events that supposedly happened at Camp Hero, it was on my list to not only watch Season 2, but re-watch Season 1, so I’ve been knocking out two episodes a night and finished season 2 a little while ago.

Absolutely fantastic story, love the 80s pop culture references and nods. Everything from the music, to the Jaws poster, the railroad track scenes playing homage to Stand By Me, Hoppers hat being reminiscent of Indiana Jones and then in season 2 adding in Mad Max, the Road Warrior. This show blends everything to together beautifully.

It was weird seeing Eleven look so badass after she tracked down her ‘sister’. I missed this the first go around with season 1, but I assume Eleven is the way she is because her mother, while pregnant with her was part of MKUltra.

Below are images I found on Google Image of the fictional Hawkins Lab and pictures I took two months ago when I went to Camp Hero in Montauk. While Hawkins National Laboratory has more dishes, the real radar tower at Montauk AFB is way cooler

Well, after seeing this thread, I sat down and watched Season 1 and the next day started Season 2 ...
I am up to date now .... problem is, we may have to wait till 2019 for Season 3 ...
I noticed they are only 9 and 10 episode seasons, thats kinda strange.

Season 1 is 8 episodes, season 2 is 9 episodes, season 3 will be back to 8. The creators see this being a four season show. It's not really strange at all. A lot of British TV shows are 8 episode per season (or series as they say), HBO's original series are 10 episodes per season, Showtime original series are 10-12 episodes a season. In the case of good TV, less is more. 2019 is only five months away and it was 15 months in between the release of season 1 and season 2, if they same holds true, season 3 will be released in Jan or Feb of 2019. As the kids get older its going to be tough to film with various schedules. Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) is already signed on for the next two Godzilla movies, Finn Wolfhard (Mike) was in the remake of It and will be in It:Chaper Two

I would also take a look at Beyond Stranger Things, for cast a crew interviews and behind the scenes footage. Each episode is only 15-25 minutes long and you get to hear some of the actors real voices. As you will see if you watch Beyond Stranger Things, the post production process is so much more inveigled in season 2 then it was in season 2. That probably contributes to length in between seasons.
