Switch to DA - would I lose Free HD for Life?

Thinking of switching to DA Gold from AT250/HD and was wondering if my Free HD for Life would go away? In other words, if I did the switch and a year from now really wanted to come back to AT250/HD, would the Free HD once again kick in or would I have to recommit?
