My year was almost up and we got the new bill for a year of service for $ 360.00 insane sat radio is becoming like cable!!! i logged into my acct and hopped onto chat and told the rep that i wanted to cancel. she understood my concern and went quiet for a few minutes. i figured that she was canceling my service. she comes back and said that she seen that i have been a sub since 07 and then offers me the same package for a year for 120.00 with taxes and fee's!!! i grabbed it. after almost having a stroke

I stopped using the radio sub a long time ago; the quality is way better on streaming and it plays the same (you can still change channels on the car dash etc).

Verizon, t-mobile, whatever, there are places, even on major interstates in the US that are dead. As someone who travels surface roads frequently throughout the Southwest I know all too well. SXM on the other hand has zero dead spots other than in congested cities where buildings and other terrestrial objects block satellite signals line of site as expected.

I've got one car on $99 for three years ($2.99/month) and the other at $4.99 with Platinum added in for free. Hoping I can renew the same plan when the time cones due.

needles to say i did end up canceling sxm this morning and the deals kept rolling out LOL. the rep was like think of what you'll be missing then i turned back and asked him just what i would be missing when i have a 20 TB HDD full of music??? he got pissed when i said cancel and disconnected chat. i guess i pissed in his cherrios . i pissed him off even more i bet when i said that i could listen to music on youtubes for free . i feel liberated now LOL!!! SXM just isn't worth the price any longer.

They lost me 15 years ago. I have not missed them one bit.

Glad I paid $300 many years ago for a lifetime subscription. As if I had to pay for it now I wouldnt subscribe anymore.

The quality has gone way down hill.

I can't live without it. I have music playing on my Echos 24/7, and I use it in the car every day. I listen to niche formats like smooth jazz and new age. Even though I could get similar formats on Pandora, Music Choice, etc., I like the formatting with the DJ's on SXM without the commercials. The audio quality is top notch if you change the settings to "Maximum" in the app.

I did that for the radio I have at the house. It was just over $400 with taxes and surcharges. Money well spent.
