Heatly is in stable condition

The unidentified Thrasher is in critical condition

Truly tragic news for the families of both, and all hockey fans.

IMO, and by no means am I a doctor, but having seen these types of brain injuries in my job, I will be very surprised if Snyder makes a recovery to the point of playing professional hockey again. I hope he proves me wrong.

The doctors here just held a press conference with updates on the players injuries.....here they are:

Dany Heatley
Fractured lower left jaw
Concussion
Injured left shoulder
Injured right knee
Bruised lung
Bruised kidney
***Will get transferred to another hospital tomorrow for surgery to repair his jaw***

Dan Snyder
Fractured skull(right side)
Significant brain injury
Acceleration/deceleration brain injury
In a coma.....due to medication and his injury
On a coma scale of 1-15...he is rated a 6. A score of 6 means he has a 28% chance of good recovery or moderate disabilities and a 54% chance of vegetative/death

Keeps your fingers crossed and say your prayers for both players....esp Snyder.

Here's the damage...
Owie, it's a wonder that they didn't get killed.

All along the authorities kept saying that alcohol was not a factor in the crash. I am just glad to have some "official" confirmation of that now.
