Unable to DVR Dishscape stream

I never had occasion to attempt to record anything from one of Dish's streams so this is new to me. I tried to record the new waterfall Dishscape and a message popped up denying it. Is this normal? Are no streams recordable or just this one or is it just a fluke? If it matters the receiver is a Wally.

I thought Radioguy was talking about 198. I'll have to review those two channels to be sure. I know I have paused 198 for an hour and used the buffer to FF to find some movement.

You cannot record streaming on the Dish DVR. 198 is streaming.

It kind of begs the question, why? What's the big deal? If I can record the sat Dishscape why not the streaming Dishscape? Seems goofy to me, unnecessarily restrictive, and a waste of bandwidth if you want to watch it more than once.

199 live feed from satelite,
Dish Satelite encryption for dish dvr.

198 'channel' is feed from internet stream,
Not Dish Satelite encryption,
No dvr.

Just guessing based on different types of signal source.

That's true. No recording on streaming channels. They are green in the guide.
