I moved to a new home and each room only has one cable run. I currently have two HD DVR's (HR21's) and one HD receiver. I have done the install at both of my previous homes and had no problems. The dish is a slimline with 5 LNB. I will be mounting it at the new home on a deck post so it will be easily accessable. I have read several forumns but I am still not certain what I need to purchase.

Can I simply replace the LNB with a SWM capable one or do I need to buy a SWM switch as well?

I appreciate the help!

There is no "SWM switch" - it's just a SWM splitter; they come in 2, 4 & 8 port version. There is also a power supply you'll need for it.
But yes, just get a SWM5 LNB & the power supply, along with whatever splitter you'll need & you're good to go.
FYI - if you plan on going w/MRV, you'll need to make sure you get all "green" label LNB's/splitters...

If you are going to use Cat5 for the mrv, you don't need the green lnb/splitters do you?

You also need to be sure you have the right hd dvr some are not swm compatable

All the HR20-24 dvrs are swm compatible.
