use of betternet gets me banned?

I just started using the Betternet VPN proxy and I get a message that the Betternet IP address is banned. Why? I don't have this issue with other websites.

Probably someone tried hacking into the servers from the banned IP address. Thats one of the problems going through a VPN. The IP's are blocked automatically by the firewalls when they detect "things" trying to break in.

I got rid of it and now I'm using VPNbook. So far so good. Not sure if I can trust any of these VPN services, paid or not.
