I'm sorry to start a new thread for this. I was reading a few days ago about a DVD you can buy to set up your TV for the best picture for DISH. Like an idiot I lost my notes and can't remember what thread it was in. Could one of you kind folks overlook the wasteful nature of this thread and tell me what the DVD is called please. Thanks in advance. Gary

I use AVIA and it works good. Never used Video Essentials, but I am sure it works as good. Buy whichever you can get the best price on.

has anyone else tried this method of calibrating tv to sat. signal?
i have a dvr record one of the off air test patterns off of Starz, HBO,ect and play it back using the blue filter that comes with either V/E or Home Theater tune-up. Although its hard to get contrast and brightness exact with this method, the color and tint seem to be better this way, and settings are a little differant than with the dvd.
