ViP211K caller id on screen with vonage

Hello. I have ViP211K receiver and I have Vonage (VOIP) as my home phone service. I have hooked up ethernet cable to the back of the receiver. I have enabled the caller id on the receiver and the network connection is fine. But when someone calls me I am not getter caller id on my tv screen. I am getting caller id on my phone. Thanks

you need to connect a phone line to the phone jack, not ethernet jack

I don't have a 722k but have a 722 and Vonage. If you connect the phone line from the terminal adapter to the back of the DVR, you will have caller ID.

back feed your Vonage adaptor into any telephone outlet,make sure ur not connected to your local telephone company and then pulg in from another phone jack into the Vip and u should get caller id. I have whole house telephone, my alarm and vip recievers all hooked up to 1 Vonage adaptor with battery back up for it if the power goes out where my alarm can still dial out.
