Voom in Hawaii

I'm disappointed. I had an authorized Dish dealer install a large 1+ meter dish (substantial cost) in my yard pointed to 129. I get 80+ signal. I've spent several hours over two days with CSRs and supervisors but they will not turn Voom on in Hawaii, saying Hawaii is not authorized to recieve Voom. Channels show in guide but say "not purchased".
I did call Dish before I installed and was told although 129 and 110 are not officially available in Hawaii if i can pick them up I'm not prohibited from getting the channels (I've had 110 and 119 for over 5 years).
Anyone have ideas?

Let them know that you were told you could get the voom channels and that you spent quite a bit of money getting everything set up. I don't see why they have the rule where you aren't supposed to get Voom in Alaska or Hawaii. Don't really make much sense. It would be more money for them.

I haven't heard of anyone trying it but I would be interested in knowing if it could be done. I think it would be possible. If it can be done in Hawaii with ease i would imagine it could be done in Alaska but would probably take one big ass dish. Maybe a 1.2m Channels Master dish would be a good start.

I have a 6' dish on 119 and a 30" dish on 148 for CBSHD-W. As soon as they turn on 129 with CBSHD-W, I plan to try moving the 6 footer to 129 and swing the 30" to 119. I was just trying to see if someone had already tried it.:)
