[VOOM] Voom Installer No Show

I was excited about Voom and signed up for an install. The
installer didn't show, didn't call...nothing. Voom says they can't
get ahold of the installer.

If Voom has any chance of making it, they have to resolve this. I
was very excited about it, but I'm calling someone locally to
install an OTA antenna and forgetting about Voom. With this
horribly inept service, they don't deserve to stay in business.

Noah,

You posted in the right place as Wilt, VP of engineering, keeps track of posts on this
forum. Don't give up yet. What happened was totally uncalled for and VOOM will take
care of it. We had the same thing happen to us over a year ago but a post on here (thanks
to advice from someone on the AVSforum) got us installed and we've been enjoying HDTV
via VOOM sat and OTA ever since. We had a Samsung STB before that for the OTAs but
love having them integrated into the program guide and the VOOM STB gives us better
reception to boot.

Still enjoying HDTV under sun or is it rainy or...Seattle skies, Gill

where are you located i may be able to help you?

hey t ,

how do these clown installers make any money???? and the statement about installs paying late is BS and you and i both know it. just lazy inept installers (no i wont even call em techs, techs are pros and dont do the no show no call cr*p)

dragon

ps weve spoken and you know im partial to directv, but a sub is a sub and at the very least deserves a call the evening before if the installer is too lazy to drag his butt out of bed to go to work.

My installation was scheduled today also. The installer was a no-show. No emails, no phone calls. Voom was nice about it, but, ultimately couldn't help. Installs Inc told me that they give the absentee installer 24 hours to resolve things with the customer. Voom and Installs, Inc. claim to have left numerous messages with the installer in my area (Robert Gauthier) but he hasn't returned their calls.

They finally gave me his number...I called and it's a home number...answered by an answering machine...of course. This install was scheduled for 2.5 weeks. They are now offering to turn it over to another installer but that would involve sending out equipment and scheduling...and that could take "weeks".

I was wrong to get excited about Voom, it appears that their inability to turn a profit isn't just about the public's non-acceptance of HD...but at the root..is a a poorly run company wrought with issues.

i sent you a p,m send a email to that email address and let him know that you had a no call no show today. He will be able to help you with this

[VOOM] Re: Voom Installer No Show

"ksload", can you get this in writing so to speak :"Installs Inc told
me that they give the absentee installer 24 hours to resolve things
with the customer."? I believe Wilt and the gang at VOOM headquarters
would be very interested in this new "policy". It sure hasn't been
the policy. Can you give Wilt the time, date and who you talked to
about the no show? Give him and TYORK the info and this will get
resolved and you won't have to wait "weeks" as Installs, Inc. is
giving you the runaround for which they have been infamous.

Still enjoying HDTV (better PQ tonight?) under cloudy Seattle skies, Gill

[VOOM] Re: Voom Installer No Show

Voom will fix this problem, just keep on it. As for a no call no
show, my techs would be fired on spot for this. When they go out to
install voom they are a direct reflection on my company and VOOM. I
see so many techs these days doing this, it not only hurts the
companies, but also the techs out there who take pride in their
work. So don't give up or hold it against VOOM. There are techs and
retailers out there with the customer in mind.

[VOOM] Re: Voom Installer No Show

Well VOOM is telling me that the installer "lost" my work order....I
guess he also lost my 3 receivers, dish, and antenna????

They told me that he would call me by 5pm my time to
reschedule....guess what? No call.

I don't think the ability to watch HD programming is worth the
stress this has caused me.

Hang in there, be stubborn and you will be happy when you sit down to watch
VOOM for an evening.
