New guy here. I'm seriously considering buying a Dish Tailgater antenna along with a receiver. I was planning on buying the Wally receiver, but Camping World is offering a promotion for a Vip 211z for free with the purchase of an antenna. What are the differences in the receivers? I understand the basics, like Netflex and the IR remote, but is there anything else that is worth not taking the free Vip receiver? Thanks.

First, I would highly recommend the Winegard Pathway X2 over the Tailgater. It is a superior product. If I was going to buy a new receiver, I would probably buy the Wally, simply because it has a second tuner for recording.

Welcome! I also think the Wally is a better receiver. As rvvaquero said, it also has 2 tuners. Keep us posted on what you end up doing!
