I bought a new Toshiba LCD HDTV for our bedroom and my 211 just arrived from The Dish Store. I hooked up the HDMI and sat coax and ran the check switch. It identified my switch and 3 birds just fine.

It then went to the Warning: Downloading vital information...do not unplug or turn off receiver until screen dissapears. The problem is that it's been 15 minutes and there's no hint of anything on the progress bar. It seems like it should have moved some by now. How long should it take and what do I do if it is stuck? It's not activated yet because I was doing this before calling. I want to see some HD on my new set, darn it!

It hasn't even started though after over half an hour. Should I stop it somehow and start over?

I saw an installer reset it to factory defaults then run it again. Did this on my father-in-laws 622 when it would not load.

I think I may try that. I'll look up in the manual how to do it. I hope not to screw it up and have to send it back. That would really stink.

There's no card in the slot. Is that normal for a 211?
