I just got my dish installed today. I was curious as to which satellites they set my dish too. They installed a 1k.4 dish and I have the free HD with 1 222k and 2 211k. My signal seems low. It was in the 50's. Is this good? My zipcode is 40391.

If you have a 1000.4 dish you should be looking at 61.5, 72, and 77. If you press 6, 1, 1, Check Switch on your remote the receiver will go through a process and tell you what satellites it is looking at.

Cool. That's what it said. I seen other post that said 100 and 119 and another. Is having the signal in the 50's very good?

It's 110, 119 & 129 for Western Arc. Typically it was picked up with a 1000.2 but these days they have an LNB to make the 1000.4 capable of picking up 110/119/129.

However judging by your signal strength, you are on the Eastern Arc @ 61.5/72.7/77 and for those sats the 50's are pretty good.

not sure where u r at but in ms we usually get the .4 in the mid 60's

if its the new 1k.4 western arc that is pretty low norms are 110=80's 119=70's 129=70,s on high transponders.
but if its a 1k.4 eastern arc thats about normal
